Our comprehensive summer opening package includes the following:
- Remove, clean, fold and store the winter debris cover.
- Sweep/hose the pool surround (Power washing can be arranged at extra cost).
- Scoop out the pool surface floating debris using leaf net.
- Empty skimmer and pool pump baskets.
- Brush tile band and walls using pool brush, and scrub inside skimmers.
- Vacuum pool to waste using heavy duty vacuum cleaner.
- Test water balance; adjusting calcium hardness, alkalinity and pH levels.
- Replace stored items; ladders, automatic cleaners, baskets, plugs, gauges etc.
- Connect, inspect and test the pumps, lights, heaters, etc.
- Lube plugs, fittings, valves and o-rings and generally ensure everything is in working order.
- Flood pool plumbing, prime pump and start-up the filtration system.
- Super chlorinate to breakpoint levels with liquid chlorine or chlorine granules.
- Bring out solar cover from the storage and put it back on the pool.
- Backwash the pool filter if pressure rises excessively or flow diminishes considerably.
- Report any defects found.
Summer opening service is charged at £180 including VAT (chemicals will be charged in addition).
Note: The client needs to ensure that the pool water level is topped up preferably above the skimmer prior to our visit.
